- " Able, forceful, energetic, and public-spirited are a few of the prominent characteristics possessed by George Christy Hascall, a self made man in every respect, whose zealous performance of duty, sterling honesty and unquestioned integrity have gained for him distinguished prominence in commercial and financial circles. He was born at Ypsilanti, Mich. His ancestors were from New York and were early settlers in Michigan. Among the commercial and financial interests with which he is connected are the Tropical Oil Co., Cleveland O.; director of Gobeille Pattern Co., Cleveland O.; First National and other banks of Cleveland O.; stockholder, Wolverine Mfg. Co., Detroit, Mich.; stockholder, Cadilac Cabinet Co., Detroit Mich.; Stockholder of J.C. Wideman Co., Detroit, Mich.; President Texas Manufacturing Co., Fort Worth, Tex.; stockholder Prairie City Oil Co., Winnipeg, Man. Fraternally Mr. Hascall is prominent in Masonic circles, being a 32d degree Mason, a Knight Templar and Mystic Shriner"
