Erastus Reed Parker, son of Philander Hascall Parker and Betsey A. Welles, born November 8, 1860, died July 14, 1912. On May 12, 1883 he married Flora Alice Adams of Franklinville, who died February 4, 1899. In August 1901 he married Lissie Smith Wells, who died April 1906. He was one of five children, the oldest, Mrs. Luella Parker Sanford, died December 3, 1906, one brother Wells A. and two sisters Mary and Minie Parker and one daughter Alice Parker Davis, survive him. He was educated in Arcade at Ten Broeck Academy, Franklinville.
He had lived one year in Sugartown, and seven years in Salamanon and the balance of his live in Arcade and vicinity.
He was well and favorably known to all businessmen in this vicinity, and up to a short time before his death, was active in business life.
Erastus, as we all called him, will be missed by all who knew him and his memory will still live in the hearts of his many friends.
