  The Dispatch (Moline Illinois) January 31, 1975 Robert W. Barnes, 53, of RR 2, Taylor Ridge, died Thursday at the LeClaire Hotel, Moline. Death was due to natural causes. Mr. Barnes was born in Leighton, Iowa. He had lived in Milan six years and the last nine and a half years in Taylor Ridge. He married Marjorie Tohren.e married Darline Dickinson Lowe in Aug. 1959 in Hannibal, Mo. Mr. Barnes was quarry superintendant at Moline Consumer Co., Moline, where he had been employed fo 17 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Surviving are the widow; three sons, Laryy R. and David L., both of Rock Island, and Eobert W. III, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Larry Hargrave, Denver, Mrs. Roger Slaight, Milan, and Miss Mary Ellen, at homw; nine grandchildren; his stepmother, Mrs. Blanche Barnes, and a sister, Mrs. Harry Smith, Englewood, Fla. Hr was preceded in death by his parents.
