  Lewiston Evening Journal April 5, 1937 Mrs. Ada Hascall Penley, wife of Walter E. Penley of Upper Turner street, Auburn, died at the C.M.G. hospital, Lewiston, Sunday evening. Mrs. Penley had partially recovered from a recent severe illness, when her condition again became serious, and she entered the hospital March 30. Mrs. Penley was born in Durham, April 25, 1877, the daughter of Frank H. and Mary (Newton) Hascall. She was married to Mr. Penley in 1898, and shortly afterward they came to Auburn to live. Besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Penley Grant, Miss Ethel and Miss Marion Penley; and one son Clarence E. Penley, all of Auburn; and two grandchildren, Phyllis and Paul Penley.
