- Nancy Hascall began ringing handbells in 1979, and has been active ever since as a ringer, conductor, soloist, clinician, and published composer/arranger. Director of both The Bells of the Cascades and the First United Methodist Sanctuary Bell Choirs in Portland, Oregon, she also rings with the Covenant Bell Choir at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church and a professional quartet, the Oswego Handbell Ensemble. She has taught and conducted at numerous handbell events throughout the Northwest and nationally, including Handbell Exploration and AGEHR events. An accomplished solo ringer, she originated "traveling-four-in-hand," a system of techniques for rapidly changing four-in-hand configurations, particularly in solo and small ensemble ringing.
Nancy and her husband, Glen (also an accomplished handbell ringer and clinician), live in Lake Oswego, Oregon, with the youngest of their four children.

NANCY HASCALL resides in Lake Oswego, OR. She is married to Glen Hascall, software technical/systems programmer and handbell enthusiast (bass ringer, solo/ensemble ringer clinician) and they have four children Nancy is a handbell director, soloist, clinician, composer/arranger, and church keyboardist.
Nancy Hascall attended College of Idaho (now Albertson College of Idaho) where she received a BA in music Ed. & Voice. She was a certified Yamaha Music Education System teacher for 22 years (a comprehensive music program for very young children emphasizing ear training through solfege, rhythm, & keyboard learning.)
She is currently Director, Bells of the Cascades (Portland, OR)-Director, First UMC Sanctuary bells (Portland, OR)-Ringer, Lake Grove Presbyterian church Covenant Bell Choir (Lake Oswego, OR) Ringer/musical director, Oswego Handbell Ensemble (professional quartet)-Soloist-Clinician for handbell exploration, AGEHR & other events-Composer and Arranger.
