  The Union Leader December 8, 1992 Longboat Key, Fla. - Alexander Cheves Haskell, 90, formerly of Farmington, N.H., died Nov. 30, 1992, in Brittany Convalescent Home, Natick, Mass., after a short illness. Mr. Haskell was born in Columbia, S.C., the oldest of nine children, and attended Baylor Military School, Tennessee, and Dartmouth College. He was trained by the W. T. Grant Co. For 10 years, he owned and operated Haskell's 5c and 10c Store in Farmington, and in 1947, became a merchandise consultant. In addition he was director of the Farmington National Bank and a member of the Farmington School Board. He was a member of the Farmington Congregational Church and the Kiwanis Club. Also, Mr. Haskell was a patron of the Eastern Star. His first wife, Adelaide Haskell, predeceased him. The family includes his wife, Leona Foster Haskell; a daughter, Sarah Haskell Meyer of Sherborn Mass.; two stepdaughters, Cynthia Brezinski of Manchester, Conn., and Patricia Kelley of Pembroke, N.H.; of Pembroke, N.H.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother Charles; and a sister, Frances.
