  The Pendleton Record June 30, 1983 Funeral services for Randy D. Furniss of Pendleton, who died Friday June 24, 1983, was held Tuesday, June 28th in Burns Mortuary. He was 34 years of age, born October 19, 1948 in Pendleton. He had lived in Pendleton for the last year. He was the son of Wendel and Barbara Furniss of Pendleton. He was born in Pendleton, attended schools in Pendleton, graduated from Pendleton Senior High School in 1966. He attended Blue Mountain Community College for one year and then attended Modesto Community College in California for one year. He was a dry wall construction worker in Hawaii, Portland, and the Seattle - Kirkland, Wa. area. He has lived in Pendleton for the last year. He was a member of the Pendleton Eagles. He is survived by his parents, Wendel and Barbara Furniss, Pendleton; grandparents, Daphne Merkling, Pendleton and Donald E. Merkling, Umatilla; brother, Julian V. Furniss, Pendleton; sister, Linda A. Furniss, Pendleton.
