Caldwell - Services for Audie O. Swinney, 69, 410 Grant, Caldwell, who died Tuesday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by Rev. Ken Simmons, First United Methodist Church. Intermant will be in Canyon Hill cemetery.
He was born April 17, 1907, in Bridgeport, Tex., and was raised and educated in Texas, Oklahoma and Oregon. He worked on several Oregon farms and moved to Caldwell in the 1930's, where he worked as a meat cutter for the Johnson Brothers Meat Co. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1942, served with the 774th Bombardment Squad and was discharched in 1945. He married Violet May Healy Oct. 14, 1960 in Winnemucca. He was employed by the Pacific Fruit Express Shop, Nampa, until his retirement in 1969.
Surviving are his wife, Caldwell; two brothers, Marvin, Olympia, Wash., and Leonard, LeGrande, Ore.; and two sisters, Sally Crowder, Alpine, Tex., and Vera Weesgerber, Billings, Mont. He was preceeded in death by a brother.
