  The State (Columbia, SC) January 16, 2008 SUMMERVILLE -- Katheryn Faris Haskell of Summerville and formerly of Columbia died January 15, 2008. She was the widow of Samuel Rhea Haskell Sr. Mrs. Haskell was born in Rock Hill, SC, in 1916, and was the daughter of Ida Whitesides Faris and Paul Densmore Faris. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and received a Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina. She taught school in Columbia for 35 years. She was a member of Shandon Presbyterian Church in Columbia and later attended Summerville Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Haskell was predeceased by her husband, a son, Anthony Paul Haskell and a sister, Adelaide Faris Christophersen. Surviving are one son, Samuel Rhea Haskell Jr. of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Blaine Haskell Fennell of Isle of Palms, SC and Grace Haskell Marshall of Beaufort, SC; a sister, Densmore Faris Jones of Spartanburg, SC; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
