  Lewiston Journal July 7, 1982 Monmouth - Mrs. Ruby Day Hascall, 90, died Tuesday at the Heritage Home, Winthrop, after a short illness. She was born April 17, 1892, in Monmouth, daughter of Eugene and Myra Wadsworth Day. Educated in Monmouth, she graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1910. She taught school for many years and was chief operator of the LG and M Telephone Co for many years. In 1917, she was married to Elmer Hascall, who died in 1969. She was a member and past matron of Boynton Chapter, OES and was a member of the United Church of Monmouth where she was organist for 45 years. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jean Walker, Monmouth; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
