  New Hampshire Union Leader November 19, 2005 EAST FALMOUTH, Mass. -- Hollis E. Brown, 79, died Nov. 17, 2005, at Royal Nursing Center in Falmouth. He was born in Camden, Maine, the son of Lillian Mae and Hollis Brown Sr.. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, from 1942 to 1946. He attended school in Camden and Oxford, Maine, Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mr. Brown worked in the electronics engineering field for many years. He enjoyed skiing, flying his plane and boating. He was active in the Universalist Church in Auburn, Maine. Family members include his wife of 53 years, Carmil (Hascall) Hollis; one daughter, Vickie Paxton of Bluffton, S.C.; two sons, Michael Brown of Sterling and Douglas Brown of Lisbon, N.H.; three sisters, Priscilla Twitchell and Ruth Kimball, both of Norway, Maine, and Ellen Gilbert of Winslow, Maine; five grandchildren.
