Betty Ann Hascall, 88, of Coin, Iowa, passed away on October 29, 2021 at Accura HealthCare of Shenandoah.
Betty was the first child born on October 13, 1933 to Nelson and Ruth Crider in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She grew up in Maitland, Missouri and graduated from high school there. While attending Northwest Missouri State College, she met and married Edwin Hascall on January 3, 1954.
To this union, they were blessed with two daughters. Their first daughter died in infancy. In 1956, their second daughter was born and the family lived in Mt. Ayr for two years and then settled in Coin, Iowa. Betty worked as a secretary at Southwest Iowa Mutual for 23 years. She first worked in the Coin office and then moved over to the Clarinda office. Betty was an active member in the Coin United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. She served as Worthy Matron in Twin Naughts Chapter, Blanchard and Past Grand Warder of Iowa. She later served as Marshal of Clarinda Chapter and as Grand Companion for her husband, Past Grand Patron of Iowa in 2011. Her OES family was her second family as she loved spending time with them. She and Edwin loved to travel with trips to Hawaii, Alaska, Australia and Europe were fondly remembered.
Betty was predeceased by their infant daughter, Sherry, her parents, her in-laws, Gordon and Carolyn Hascall, sister and brother-in-law Grace and John Lewellen.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin Hascall, daughter, Vicki Fulk (Dale) of Clarinda, IA, grandchildren Reg Fulk (Marcey) of Aurora, CO, Kalen Fulk (Marci) of Clarinda, and Molly McNeely of Maysville, MO. Brother Garrie Crider (Gloria) of Tucson, AZ. Brothers-in-laws and sisters-in laws and spouses; Kirk (Linda) Hascall, Carol (Earl) Ray, Harold (Carol) Hascall, Donald (Cheryl) Hascall and Georgia Aileen Hascall, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren and various nieces and nephews. May she be at peace in God's loving care.
