Services for Mrs. Lucille Hascall, 73, Shelby, were held Friday morning, November 28, 1986, at the United Presbyterian Church in Shelby with Rev. Robert McCleery officiating with the Berthusen-Knutson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. She died at her home on Monday, November 24.
Mrs. Hascall was born in Mountain Grove, Mo. on December 18, 1912 to John and Artava Zerskey Collins. She married John Hascall June 6, 1931. They lived in the Emerson area until moving to Shelby in 1947.
She was a past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge and in 1961 was presented with the Declaration of Chivalry, which is the highest award that can be received in the Rebekah Lodge. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Darwin; and two half brothers, George Collins and Harry Collins. Survivors include her husband; her children, Wayne Hascall and wife, Joyce of Grand Rapids, MI.; David Hascall of Portland, OR.; Jerry Hascall and wife, Rose of Shelby and Donna Pauley and husband, Ron of Shelby; 17 grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two half brothers; Harvey Collins Nevada, IA., Fred Collins of Fresno, CA. and other relatives and many friends.
