  Kennebec Journal September 18, 2005 CHELSEA -- John Robert Hendsbee, longtime resident of Chelsea, passed on to be with the Lord on Friday, Sept. 16, 2005, at MaineGeneral Medical Center in Augusta. He was born in Oakland on Jan. 14, 1931, the son of Arthur B. and Mary E. (Wrigley) Hendsbee. He attended schools in Albion, and after school entered the Army, serving in Europe. In 1951, John married the former Erline Haskell, and they shared 54 years together. John worked for several years, and retired from the Veterans Administration hospital in Togus. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans. John was a very generous man in many ways. He was always willing to donate or lend a helping hand whenever needed. He enjoyed listening to country fiddle music and spending time with his family. John loved the Lord.
