  Portland Press Herald (ME) February 17, 2000 Maurice "Jack" Allen Haskell Sr., 70, of Western Ridge Road, died Feb. 14, 2000, at Maine General Medical Center in Waterville. He was born in Knox, a son of Wellman Lewellyn and Lucy Eunice Fuller Haskell. He attended local schools and graduated from Erskine Academy in South China. Mr. Haskell was a dairy farmer all of his life. He started his own milk transport business when he was only 18 years old. On Nov. 10, 1950, he married Carolyn Jane Reed in Albion. He loved hunting and farming and was still actively working at the time of his death. He loved to go lobstering each summer in Gouldsboro with his friend Art Williams. His wife died in 1985. His companion was Judy Poulin of Fairfield Center. Surviving are his son, Maurice "Pete" Haskell Jr. of China; two daughters, Beverly Hebert of Wells and Brenda Gerrish of Palermo; three sisters, Pearl Hamilton and Rosalie Rood, both of Albion, and Margaret "Peggy" Jones of Unity; two brothers, Francis "Bill" and Stephen both of Palermo and eight grandchildren.
