  Morning Sentinel March 25, 2009 VASSALBORO -- Michael F. Sularie, 50, passed away peacefully in his sleep, March 21, 2009. To quote a verse from one of Mike's many written songs, "And Lord, when I leave here, don't leave others asking why, just leave the will to say good-bye. No matter how it may be, I just want to see my Lord when he takes me." Michael was born in Waterville on March 26, 1958, the son of Pauline Carll of Vassalboro. He was previously deceased by his father, Marco M.F. Sularie, in 2006. He leaves behind his older brother, Larry Sularie and his wife, Betty, of Vassalboro, and younger sister Debby Sularie and her fiancé, Mike Kartman, of Vassalboro. He was also the father of Nathan Quimby of Winslow and Amy Quimby of Albion and grampy to Luke, Noah, Jordanna, Kylee and Jacob. He was very much loved by his nephews and nieces, Shawn, Amanda, Heather, Justin, Michael Jr. and Megan, as well as his uncle Sherwood and aunt Marie, and cousins. When thinking of Mike's many hobbies, everyone will agree music was his first and foremost. He loved playing guitar, singing and writing songs. His family and friends knew that George Jones, Merle Haggard, John Anderson and John Conlee were a few of his favorite singers, and he could play almost any request. He especially liked to share his pastime with his mother, brother and sister. Mike also enjoyed the warm weather and sunshine. He loved to find time to go camping, fishing, or spend evenings around a bonfire on a clear, starry night with friends and family. During the cold months, Mike found pleasure indoors with his music, reading history books/magazines, watching movies and cooking. Italian foods were his specialty. He also liked to go snowmobiling on occasion. Mike also enjoyed working on vehicles, as well as buying and selling them. To enjoy this hobby, for many years he helped out at R & K Auto Salvage in Winslow. He will be sadly missed by the owner, and one of Mike's best friends, Roger. Mike will also be sadly missed by his best friend for more than 20 years, Shannon Grant-Garland, and remembered by his fiancée, Patricia Hotham and her two children, Ryan and Amy.
