ALBION -- Donald W. Bolduc, 47, of Albion, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2005, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Skowhegan on Dec. 24, 1957, the son of Reginald G. and Evelyn M. (Fortin) Bolduc. He attended Fairfield schools, graduating from Lawrence High School, class of 1976. On Sept. 23, 1978, he married the former Terry A. Rood and they had shared 26 years of marriage.
He was employed as a truck driver and as a receiver at Colonial Distributors in Waterville for 20 years before it was acquired by Pine State, where he also was a receiver. Donald was a communicant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Fairfield.
Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing at the family camp on Moxie Pond and also enjoyed fishing at Moosehead Lake; he enjoyed four-wheeling, was a race car enthusiast and served as a crew chief, and he also enjoyed NASCAR racing. Donald loved being with his family and friends, and was always the head cook at the barbeque grill during family functions. He had a special bond with his Moxie Pond Posse's, and loved to make people smile and laugh. Donald especially enjoyed his children and his new granddaughter. He was also known to many as Uncle Deedles.
He was predeceased by his father, Reginal G. Bolduc on Sept. 17, 2003, and his father-in-law, Ernest Rood on Sept. 17, 2001.
Donald is survived by his wife of 26 years, Terry A. (Rood) Bolduc of Albion; his children, Nicole Quirion and her husband, Barry, of Benton and Frank Bolduc of Albion and his girlfriend, Bryanna Lemieux, of Clinton; his mother, Evelyn M. Bolduc of Fairfield; brothers Brian Bolduc and his companion, Tisa Walmere, of Edgecomb and James Bolduc and his wife, Mary, of Fairfield; a sister, Cheryl Champagne and her husband, Steve, of Fairfield; mother-in-law Rosalie Rood of Albion; sisters-in-law Laura Strohman and her husband, Joe, Judy Gagnon and her husband and Donald's best friend, Gary; and a brother-in-law, Wellman Rood and his wife, Peggy, all of Albion; his granddaughter, pretty girl Kyleigh Quirion of Benton; special friend that he thought of as his brother, Deputy Mike; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. He was loved by many, and will be missed be all who knew him.
Burial will follow at Maplegrove Cemetery in Albion.
