  President of the Teachers Quorum of the Granger Second Ward. ____ The Deseret News August 1, 1995 Howard Grant Woodbury, 54, of Hampton, Connecticut, died Saturday, July 29, 1995 in Manchester, Connecticut after a long illness. Born February 6, 1941 in Granger, Utah, son of the late Howard and Melva Johnson Woodbury. Married Carole McLain Woodbury, June 13, 1966 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Grant spent his youth in Granger where he was a member of the Granger High School football and wrestlng teams. After high school graduation he completed a two year mission to the New England States Mission from 1959-1961 for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Upon returning to Utah he earned a degree in metallurgical engineering from the University of Utah in June 1966. Grant took his new bride and degree and returned to New England where he was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in East Hartford, Connecticut and then Crane Corporation of Indian Orchard, Massachusetts. At the time of his death he was employed by Northeast Utilities as a technical writer. Over the past 29 years Grant has been involved with the Nathan Hale Fife and Drum Corps, Brigade of the American Revolution, the Fin, Fur and Feather Club and the National Rifle Association. Throughout his adult life he was involved as a leader of young people. As a Life Scout he was a scoutmaster and leader in the Boy Scouts of America. As a former LDS High Councilman and bishop, he influenced both youth and adults in many aspects of their physical and spiritual life. Grant will be dearly missed by his family, friends and colleagues. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery.
