  Find-a-Grave Lynda Carole McLain Woodbury passed away peacefully August 7, 2011. She was born October 29, 1942 in Fork Polk, Louisiana to Carlos and Denzel Smith McLain, the first of six daughters, and was raised in Greene County, Mississippi. She earned Bachelors Degree of Education from Brigham Young University and a Masters Degree of Special Education from University of Connecticut. She married Grant Woodbury June 13, 1966 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Carole and Grant moved to Connecticut just after they were married where they spent their remaining years. They were actively involved in Revolutionary War re-enactments, with Carole cooking and Grant black smithing. Her career centered on teaching students with challenges. She spent countless hours of her own time and means helping special needs children, and later became a national presenter and consultant. Upon retirement, she continued working in Pahrump, Nevada and most recently Mesa, Arizona. As a member of the LDS Church she influenced many with her example and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
