Mesa - Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Meldrum Mortuary Chapel for Joan Stewart, 35, a native of Mesa, who died Wednesday night.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Mesa in 1918 and reside there all her life. At the time of her death she lived at 223 S. LeBaron.
She is survived by four children, Frederick, John, Walter, and Karen, all of Mesa. She is also survived by five brothers, Rowe E. Hakes of Casa Grande, Clayton Hakes of Safford, Elwell Hakes of Ashland, Ore., Vander Hakes of Los Angeles, and Russell Hakes of Snowflake; anf five sisters, Mrs, Irene Willis of Mesa, Mrs. Annette Stratton of Snowflake, Mrs. Ruth Freemler of Modesto, Calif., Mrs. Van Jones of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Mrs. Lynne Powell of Mesa.
Her mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Hakes, live in Asland, Ore.
