  The Billings Gazette (MT) December 28, 2018 LOVELL, Wyo. — Thales Albert Haskell, 86, returned to his heavenly home on Dec. 24, 2018. He was born March 7, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Thales Edward and Edith Olson Haskell. While visiting friends at Brigham Young University, he met and later married the love of his life Marilyn Norton on May 13, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS temple. After being married, Thales and Marilyn spent 9 months living in Los Angeles while Thales attended mortuary school. They then moved to Lovell, Wyoming, to run the Haskell Funeral Home and Haskell Furniture Company with his father. The two then resided in Lovell for the remainder of their lives. He was very community minded and had many active roles in the town throughout the years such as serving as a member on the Lovell Volunteer Fire Department and Town Council. Thales is survived by his daughter Valerie (Tracy) Beal; sons Brad (Tracey), Bart (Tawnya), and Mike (Stacy); 12 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and his two sisters, Maralyne Howe and Evelyn Jameson.
