  Eastern Arizona Courier (Safford, AZ) January 24, 2007 Dorothy Zollinger Ellsworth, 61, left this earth life Jan. 12, 2007. Dorothy is survived by a very loving and caring husband of 36 years, Bryan, and seven children: Jason (Lisa) of Kennewick, Wash., Julie (Ted) Smack of Loveland, Colo., Jarom of Los Angeles, Joseph (Samantha) of Seattle, Patrick of Miami, Fla., Becky (George) Boone of Eagar and Emilee of Yuma; and 12 grandchildren. They raised their family in both Safford and Yuma.Dorothy grew up in Burley, Idaho, and was born to Ray (deceased) and Inez Zollinger, along with four brothers and four sisters. Dorothy graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor's degree in home economics education. She worked in the Somerton School District for 16 years and was the librarian at Desert Sonora School for the last eight and a half years. Dorothy loved to read, work in the yard and be with her family. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she was always serving and helping others. She was a very wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandma and friend and left an impact on everyone she met.
