  Post Star (Glen Falls, NY) October 19, 1990 WILTON – Ralph Stillman Haskell, 76, died unexpectedly Thursday (Oct. 18, 1990) at Glen Falls Hospital. Born Feb. 25, 1914, in Milo Junction, Maine, he was the son of Herman M. and Phoebe M. (Smart) Haskell. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Haskell was a Maine guide briefly in his early years. During World War II, he was superintendent of the Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine, where Liberty Ships were made. As mechanical superintendent, he worked for several large construction companies in Labrador, Panama, Liberia and Vietnam, retiring from Guy F. Atkinson Co. of California in 1969.Mr. Haskell was a member of the United Empire Loyalists of Canada, the Piscataqua Pioneers of New Hampshire and the Seeley Genealogical Society. One brother, Merwin Haskell, and two sisters, Una Mason and Emma Haley died before him. Survivors include his wife, Barbara L. (Vaughan) Haskell of Wilton; one daughter, Mrs. Davis (Bonita) Ferriss of Lake Luzerne; three sons, Peter E. Haskell of Lake Luzerne, Brian S. Haskell of Stockton, Calif., and Eric R. Haskell of Danbury, Conn.; two stepsons, Wayne A. Brown of Saratoga Springs, Glen A. Brown of Midland, Texas; two step daughters, Debra L. Brown of Corinth and Valerie A. Brown of Las Cruces, N.M.; his stepmother, Myra "Honey" Haskell of Seboeis Plantation, Maine; one sister, Frances Levesque of Scarboro, Maine; two brothers, Neil Haskell of ZHowland, Maine and Elwyn Haskell of Margate, Fla.; one step brother, Adelbert "Skip" Haskell of Seboeis Plantation, Maine; 12 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
