Neil was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Dexter, the son of Herman Adelbert and Phoebe Mae (Smart) Haskell He graduated from Morse High School, Bath. He served in the U. S. Army and was a veteran of World War II, in the 150th Combat Engineer Battalion. After his service to his country, his remaining working years were with the Canadaian Pacific Railroad. He was predeceased by his wife of 31 years, Arlene V. Haskell, the mother of his children; and three sisters and two brothers. The surviving children are Sheila Haskell of Howland, Sherry Miller of Dumfroes, Va., Marlene Haskell of Seboeis Plantation; and stepson William Williams and wife, Dorothy, of Sun City, Ariz. Surviving grandchildren are Brent Haskell and wife Lisa, of Howland, Ray Miller of Sacramento, Calif; and by his stepgrandchildren, by William Williams. He is survivede by one stepbrother, Skip Haskell, of Seboies Plantation, and many nieces and nephews.
