  Beaver Dam Daily Citizen June 25, 2011 Milton R. Haskell, 96, of Beaver Dam, died on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at Hillside Manor. The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. A Masonic service will follow at the funeral home presented by Masonic Lodge 48 F & AM of Waupun. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam with military honors provided by John E. Miller American Legion Post 146. Milton Ray Haskell was born on May 1, 1915, in Hancock, Wis., to Ray and Nelle (Robinson) Haskell. On June 22, 1940, he was united in marriage with June Moloso in Dubuque, Iowa. Milton was inducted in the U.S. Army on May 27, 1943, during World War II. He was qualified as a rifle marksman and was specialized as a sterilizer operator. Milton was honorably discharged on Nov. 10, 1944. He was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1957 and owned and operated Haskell's Beauty Shop in Waupun and Haskell's Barber Shop in Beaver Dam.Milton was a resident of Beaver Dam since 1957, working for Don Beilfuss before opening his own barber shop in Beaver Dam. He was a lifetime member of the Beaver Dam American Legion and the D.A.V. He was also a member of the Waupun Kiwanis and Masonic lodge. He is survived by his daughter, Melnee (Richard) Kasper of Hilton Head Island, S.C.; two granddaughters, Allison (Graham) Metzger of Park Ridge, Ill., and Megan Kasper of Chicago, Cook, Illinois.; and two great grandchildren, Liam and Lorelei Metzger, as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and two sisters in infancy, Harriet and Esther. The family suggests that memorials be made in Milton Haskell?s name to Beaver Dam Community Hospital Foundation, 707 S. University Ave., Beaver Dam, WI 53916. Murray Funeral Home, 131 E. Maple Ave in Beaver Dam, is caring for the family.
