Bill was born in Beverly on May 4, 1927, and was the son of Francis and Mildred (Parker) Haskell. He graduated Beverly High School, and then was drafted into the U.S Army to become a World War II veteran. At the end of his military career, he was employed by AC Lawrence Leather, then moved on to Salem Suede, from where he retired. Later, Bill worked as a bus monitor for special needs children. Bill's passions were spending time with family, tending to his lovely garden that included hosta and plenty of tomatoes, smoking cigars, and going on weekly outings with his wife. In addition to his beloved wife, Sharon Ann (Winston) Haskell, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage, he is survived by his children, Kristen Haskell and Bradley Haskell; his daughter-in-law, Sandi Haskell; his grandchildren, Michael Spiewak, Casey Haskell, Christopher Walfield, Phillip Walfield, and Kendra Walfield; his two great-granddaughters; his brother, Norman Haskell; his sister, Sharon Ballentine; and many loving nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert Haskell, Frank Haskell, Donald Haskell, and Bettyjean Pelletier.
