  The Wichita Eagle, June 29, 1965 Bert Sims, 68, of 2601 S. Minnesota, died Monday. Born in Grapevine, TX, he had lived here since 1931 after moving from Alva, OK. He formerly owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store at 1509 E. Pawnee, Mr. Sims was a World War I veteran. Survivors include his widow Ethel Sims; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Frayne, Wichita; a son, George L. Sims of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lucille Smith, Norman, OK; and Mrs. Jewess Taliafero, Elmore City, OK; and a brother Otis L. Sims of Grove City, PA.
