  The Buffalo News (NY) January 11, 1998 Mabel L. Haskell, 90, a former assistant postmaster at the Sandusky Post Office, died Friday (Jan. 9, 1998) in Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville. The former Mabel L. Griffith was born in Boon, Mich. She was a member of the Freedom Home Bureau and the former Women's Christian Temperance Union and had been a chairwoman for the Red Cross drive for the Town of Freedom. Mrs. Haskell also had worked at the former Arcade Knitting Mill. Surviving are two daughters, Marlene Williams of Phoenix and Myrna Morgan of Centerville; two brothers, Harry Griffith of Tucson, Ariz., and Loran Griffith of Margate, Fla.; three sisters, Laura Dickens of Henrietta and Lena Vedder and Maude Lee, both of Franklinville; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
