Funeral services for Miss Camilla Imogene Rockwell, 51, of 417 N. Prospect St., who died yesterday in Oneida County Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Fenner Funeral Home …
Miss Rockwell was born Sept. 4, 1900 in Poland, a daughter of Pliny and Blanche Jones Rockwell. She came to Herkimer in 1907 and was a graduate of Herkimer schools and Faxton Hospital School of Nursing, Utica.
She served as office nurse for Dr. James F. Gallo for several years. She enlisted in the Army Nursing Corps during World War II and served two years at Walter Reed Hospital, Washington. After her discharge, she was employed as office nurse for Dr. Harold T. Golden.
She was a member of Myrtle Chapter, OES, White Shrine of Jerusalem, Order of the Amaranth, American Legion Auxiliary, Faxton Alumnae Association and Herkimer Reformed Church.
Surviving are her parents; a sister, Mrs. Julia Grant, East Herkimer; and a brother, William, Herkimer.
