She was born March 25, 1915, in Beaver County, Oklahoma, to William A. Lossing and Della Ruth Foreman. She was a member of Prairie Grove Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Cletis Haskell, and Adron Benton, and one son. Survivors include three daughters, Maxine Caudle of Prairie Grove, Ruth Sellers of Tontitown and Reta Carney of Fayetteville; one stepson, David Benton of Cane Hill; one stepdaughter, Linda Allen of Texas; one brother, Charles Lossing of Prairie Grove; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
