  The Telegraph (Nashua, NH) April 28, 2001 Roger C. Merrow, 73, of Drake Road, New Hampton, died Thursday, April 26, 2001, at Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin. He was born in Beverly, Mass., son of Carroll and Anna (Clark) Merrow. After retiring he settled in New Hampshire, living in Nashua, Grafton, and then New Hampton. Mr. Merrow was the husband of Frances (Haskell) Merrow of New Hampton for 47 years. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 26 of Bristol and SAL Post No. 26 of Bristol. He served as adjunct for both groups at the time of his death. He was the adjunct for District 7 and past commander of District 7. He was also a member of the 40 and 8 of Belknap County, a member of the Masons in Beverly and Nashua, and a Shriner. He was a past member of the New Hampton Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Merrow served for seven years in the Navy and for 20 years in the Army. He served as a tank commander during the Korean War and Vietnam War. He was predeceased by a son, Timothy Merrow, in 1999. In addition to his wife, Mr. Merrow is survived by two daughters, Carol Merrow of Nashua and Andrea Oswald of Merrimack; six grandchildren; and one greatgranddaughte The Emmons Funeral Home in Bristol is in charge of arrangements.
