  The Daily Item (Lynn, MA) August 23, 2011 SPRINGFIELD - Mr. David L. Boynton, age 85 died Saturday August 20 at the Bay State Medical Center, Springfield after a brief illness. Mr. Boynton was born on Bachelor St. Lynn on February 15, 1926 and over his lifetime he resided in many areas of East Lynn. He is predeceased by his wife of 55 years, Mabel (Haskell) Boynton whom he tirelessly cared for in the last two years of her life, who passed away on April 29, 2002. He joins his two brothers, Charles and Russell, both of Lynn. Mr. Boynton met his wife Mabel, while they were employed at Cushman's Bakery, where he worked for 35 years. When the bakery closed he went on to work at GE Riverworks for 10 years until his retirement in 1991. David was an avid Red Sox fan and a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his two sons, David Jr. of Lynn and his partner Malina Chhan, Paul and his wife Patricia of Ware and g r a n d s o n Christopher and his wife Tasia, who are currently serving in the U. S. Army. His kind heart, gentle manner, and sense of humor remained until the very end will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
