  1900 census : enumerated with grandmother Eliza Bishop 1910 census : enumerated with aunt Miss Lena Wright _____ Chronicle Express (Penn Yan, NY) December 6, 1956 George M. Haskell, 66, of 78 Union street, Dundee was found dead about 9:15 a.m. Monday, Dec, 3, 1956, from what state police say was a self inflicted gunshot wound. The body was discovered by the victims brother, Fred Haskell of Dundee, in the cellar of the George Haskell home. A 22 caliber rifle bullet wound in the head caused death, according to Charles F. Sackett, Yates County coroner, who indicated he would issue a certificate of death by suicide. BCI Sgt. Frank Donovan and Trooper Paul Furdock of the Penn Yan substation, said Mr. Haskell was despondent over ill health. Operator of a welding shop, he was unmarried and lived alone. Born in Dundee, Sept. 23, 1890, he spent most of his life in Dundee except for 10 years in Flint, Mich., where he worked for the General Motors corporation. He is survived by a brother, Fred B. Haskell of Dundee, a nephew, Keith Haskell of Clyde, and several cousins.
