Ronald Lee Massey, 66, Independence, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Massey was born February 3, 1941 in Detroit, Mich. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and worked for the city of Independence, retiring after 31 years as an Electrical Inspector. Mr. Massey was an Electrical Instructor at Vatterott College and enjoyed fishing and hunting with his longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Morna Massey.
His survivors include his wife of 26 years, Carol; daughters, Lisa Ratterree and husband, Pat, of Independence, and Rhonda Locke of Kansas City; stepson, Stephen Nelson of Independence; six grandchildren, Brandy, Candy, Bobby Jo, Phillip, Carlin and Samantha; six great-grandchildren; sister, Linda Fountain and husband, Charles, of Commerce, Mich.; nephew, Michael Fountain of Walled Lake, Mich.; and Donald's favorite lapdog, Regis.
