  Daily Herald (Provo, UT) March 30, 2007 On March 28, 2007, Louise Slaymaker Elmer of Payson died peacefully at home, surrounded by her children. She was born in Gunnison, Utah on Feb. 8, 1921 to Milton Slaymaker and Elouise Cheshire. She married her sweetheart of 68 years Owen Elmer on Feb. 25, 1939. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. Louise was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She loved spending time with her family, camping and traveling with her husband. Louise had a love for life and made everyone feel welcome in their home. She is survived by her children: Dora Lee Carter (Merrill); Connie Dean Ellsworth (Randy); Lynette Record (Scott); Scott Elmer (Robyn); 25 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen Elmer and her daughter Karen Stewart, and a granddaughter, Aubrey Lee Taylor.
