Gerald Dean Haskell, 71, of Pleasant Grove passed away Wednesday August 28, 2002 at his home. He was born February 21, 1931 in Salem, Utah to Howard Lamarr & Mary Beddoes Haskell. Howard passed away in 1933. Mary later married Bert Jarvis who together with Mary raised Gerald. Gerald married Ardith Grace on October 15, 1949 in Elko, Nevada.
Gerald grew up in Salem and his family later moved to Bingham where he spent his teenage years. He worked at Geneva Steel for nearly 35 years, retiring in 1985. Gerald enjoyed building and flying remote control airplanes. He and Ardith spent many weekends fishing and camping. He devoted his life to his family. He was involved in model airplanes, sports, and motorcycle racing with his sons, playing house with his daughter, or whatever the interests of his children were at the time.
He is survived by his wife, Ardith of Pleasant Grove and four children: Kewnneth Dean (Debra) Haskell, Pleasant Grove; Ron (Chris) Haskell, American Fork; Teresa Jones, Pleasant Grove; Randy (Sharon) Haskell, American Fork; 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Additional survivors include his two sisters, Marilyn Clark and Kay Hutchings and his brother Brent Jarvis.
His daughter Patricia Ann Haskell and his brother Lee Jarvis preceded him in death.
