Clyde Lamar Haskell passed away on January 19, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. Clyde was born to Henry James and Ida Lucille Box Haskell on November 14, 1933, in Payson, Utah. He was one of five children.
Clyde was a dedicated and hardworking man, graduating from Payson High School and attending two semesters at Brigham Young University before he enlisted and served his country in the United States Army. After he was honorably discharged, Clyde attended Utah Technical College.
Clyde worked as a pipe fitter at Geneva Steel for 30 years, showing his unwavering commitment to providing for his family. His love for the outdoors was evident in his hobbies, which included camping, fishing, hiking, riding four-wheelers, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and cycling. He loved to spend time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.
He married Eleanor Rose Evans September 28, 1956, in Salem, Utah and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Provo Temple. They were blessed with three sons.
Clyde was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities, including as an ordinance worker in both the Provo and Payson Temples.
Clyde is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Eleanor Haskell; sons, Randy (Val) Haskell of Santaquin, Utah and Brad (Kelly) Haskell of Spanish Fork, Utah; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Tracy Haskell of Santaquin, Utah; brother, Stanley Haskell of Payson, Utah; sister, Marritta (Ronnie) Dennis of Rexburg, Idaho; sister-in-law, Paula Haskell of Spanish Fork, Utah; brother-in-law Delbert (JoAnn) Beddoes of Payson, Utah; and brother-in-law, Mike (Marcy) Evans from Spanish Fork, Utah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Lucille Haskell; son, Dennis Haskell; grandson, Zac Haskell; brothers, Ronald Haskell and Steven Haskell; and sister-in-law, Virgie Haskell.
