  The Manhattan Mercury (KS) May 13, 2011 Atina Hanna, long-time community activist and for more than a decade director of the Flint Hills Breadbasket, died Friday morning. A native of the South Pacific islands, Mrs. Hanna operated the Breadbasket from 1984 until 1992. She built it from a small neighborhood organization to a critical local food distribution network.
