He was born August 28, 1935 in Centerfield, Utah, a son of George Peter and Mearl Jensen Christiansen. He married Charlene Ide, July 24, 1961 in Elko, Nevada. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the LDS Church. Bard enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, wood work, reloading and spending time with his wife and family. He also enjoyed camping, drawing and training horses. He is survived by his wife of Redmond; children: Pat and Tammy Christiansen of Pleasant Grove; Carl and Christi Christiansen of Bluffdale; Joyce Christiansen of Eagle Mtn.; grandchildren: Bard Christiansen, Nicky and Troy Flacker, all of Pleasant Grove; Larry Christiansen of California; Ashley and Joey Mack of West Valley City; John and Jenny Christiansen of Bluffdale; Carly Christiansen of West Valley City; Emily Christiansen of West Jordan; Chad and Brandie Bray of Eagle Mtn.; Shannon and Troy Bray of West Jordan; Jason Bray of Herriman; great-grandsons: Teegun Erickson of West Jordan and Ayden Mack of West Valley City; sister and brother: Merna and Ray Nielsen of Salt Lake City; Cline (Lara, deceased) Christiansen of Provo.
