Carder Lee "Leonard " Hascall, 65, of Wilder, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes. A memorial gathering will be held at the Nampa Elks Lodge on March 10 at 3p.m.
Leonard was born December 1, 1946, in Forest Grove, Oregon, the son of Leslie E. and Dorothy Preece Hascall. He was raised in Oregon and Alaska. In 1968 he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1972. Leonard went on to become an electronics repairman. He owned and operated Nampa TV, which he later sold, and then began working for Telco of Boise until the time of his death.
Leonard was a very competitive man in all he did. In his early days he raced motocross for Kawasaki motorcycles. He had a great love for golfing, playing poker, quilting and fishing . He also loved his cats. He was a member of the Nampa Elks lodge and also enjoyed playing pool which is where he went on to meet and marry Leslie Wright on March 23, 2007.
He is survived by his wife Leslie Wright, of Wilder, a daughter Kimberly Norris, of Augusta, Georgia, a stepdaughter Heather Benedict and 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild , and his brothers Scott Bristow and Tracy Bristow, as well as numerous friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
