He was born on April 13, 1921, to the late Grover Leroy and Lila Blanch McWhorter Padgett in Ben Hur, Texas. Mr. Padgett is survived by his daughter, Jacquelyn Swinburn and husband Charles of Dew, Texas; sons, Calvin Leroy Padgett and wife Linda Marie of Bacliff, Robert Bryan Padgett and wife Cathy of Cold Spring, Garvice "Bo" Padgett and wife Cindy of Cold Spring, Russell Lawrence Padgett and wife Lillie of Bacliff; brothers, Alvis Padgett of Leakey and Donald Padgett of Highlands, eighteen grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild as well as numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son Dallas Landon Padgett, one sister, and two brothers.
