Hilston L. Tracy
ERIE, Pa. - We are sad to report the loss of our brother after his battle with colon cancer. Born Jan. 18, 1943, to Vincent Tracy and Janet (Lynds) Tracy of Norridgewock.
He enjoyed running track in high school and graduated from Skowhegan High School in 1961. He then enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard for four years.
He was married to Pauline Coffey and settled in Edinborough, Pa. They purchased a farmhouse and land there. They had riding horses and would go riding and camping with friends.
After divorcing in 1979, Hilston moved to Erie, Pa., buying a house there. Bev Foley was his companion for over 30 years. He showed a natural talent in carpentry doing all his own work on his house. He retired from Electric Materials Company in Northeast, Pa., in 2005. Hilston always had a love for animals. His friends and family loved his dry sense of humor and he liked playing his electric guitar for friends. He was also very set in his ways definitely walked to the beat of his own drum.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Muriel Woods; brother, Clifford Tracy; and nephew, Alan Tracy.
Surviving are brother, Clayton and wife, Sally; sister, Mildred ( Millie) and husband, Joe Larouche; brother-in-law, Maurice Woods; sister-in-law, Esther Tracy; nieces, nephews and cousins.
