He married Edith Katzameyer on July 20, 1957. LaVille was born and raised in Carbon County. He loved hunting and fishing. Owner of Pioneer Truck and Equipment. He was also an honorary lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He loved his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; daughter, Cathrine (Rod) Fritsch; son, David L. (Kim) Auberger; grandchildren, Jeff and Lacey Mower, Austin and Nishelle Auberger; brothers and sisters, Ruth (Tony) Pecharich, William (Dorothy) Gentry, Jack (Sally) Gentry, Gardell (Karen) Auberger.
