Norwich - Lorio E. (Babe) LePage, 83 of Norwich, died peacefully Saturday evening at the Norwichtown Rehab & Care Center. He was born in Norwich on January 9, 1933, the son of the late Arthur and Maria (Lajoie) LePage.
Babe served in the Army National Guard during the Korean War. He was last employed as a Construction Laborer for 30 years, retiring in 1983. He enjoyed spending time at the Casino, was an avid Red Sox, Patriots, and Nascar fan, and loved to travel. He was married to Charlotte (Rainville) LePage, who survives him.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons: Larry LePage and his wife Margie of Preston, and Mark LePage of Norwich, two daughters: Joanne Kapinos and her husband Alex of Somers, and Lori LePage Trombley of Norwich, one brother; James LePage of Norwich and a sister: Jacqueline Ryan of Preston. In addition, he is survived by his five grandchildren: Matthew LePage and his wife Danielle, Lauren LePage, Nick Kapinos and his wife Marissa, Ben Kapinos and Reggie Trombley and one great granddaughter, Bridget Mary LePage, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Claire Mainville, Georgette LePage and Lee McCullen and two brothers: Archie and Donald LePage.
