POTSDAM-Funeral services for Mardith Sampier, 76, of East High Street, Norfolk, formerly of Parishville, will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, with Rev. Andrew Amyot and Rev. Richard Lenz officiating.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, Parishville.
Mrs. Sampier died at her home in Norfolk on Sunday (Aug. 25, 1996).
Surviving are three sons, Dale Sampier of North Lawrence, Gary Sampier of Hopkinton and Bradford Sampier of Syracuse; two daughters, Mrs. Danny (Susan) Farnsworth of Massena, and Mrs. Jane Artz of Parishville. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph Bicknell, Jack Keener and Frank Bicknell.
She was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Potsdam, the daughter of Ralph and Laura (Philpot) Bicknell.
She married Leonard J. Sampier on Oct. 27, 1937 in Hopkinton. Mr. Sampier died Feb. 21, 1986.
Mrs. Sampier was a member of the Church of the Visitation in Norfolk.
