NASIF E. "DAVID" HASKELL, 55, a computer software designer and business owner, of Indiana Avenue, died Sunday at home.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Wabby and Rachel (Moses) Haskell, he had lived in the city until moving to Cumberland in 1987. He had attended Rhode Island Junior College, Rhode Island College, and the University of Rhode Island.
Mr. Haskell, a pioneer in computer software design, was the proprietor of Wizard Software House, in Cumberland. He had worked at G-Tech, Raytheon Co., Prime Computer Co. and EMC Corp.
His hobby was electronics.
An Air Force veteran, he served from 1969 to 1972, during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Mr. Haskell was a member of St. George Church, in Pawtucket.
He leaves a brother, Robert Haskell of Pawtucket; a niece, Rachel Haskell; and a nephew, Michael Haskell.
