Virginia E. Philbrook, who lived 53 years in the Vancouver area, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2001, in Vancouver. She was 80.
Mrs. Philbrook and her husband of 54 years, George, were farmers and raised berries on a 130-acre farm in Pleasant Valley. After her husband died in 1996, she continued to operate the farm.
She was a member of Manor Grange, Oregon Quarter Horse Association and American Quarter Horse Association.
Survivors include one daughter, Chris Philbrook of Vancouver; one son, John R. of Vancouver; one sister, LeClede Porter of Sandpoint, Idaho; and three grandchildren.
