  The Toronto Star July 29, 2025 HASKELL, MARILYN JEAN November 1, 1933 - July 18, 2025 Passed peacefully, in Etobicoke, on Friday, July 18, 2025. Marilyn was the loving daughter of Curtis and Lorena Stitts of Cincinnati, Ohio; and devoted wife, of 63 years to Robert L. Haskell (predeceased). She is survived by her son, Roger; and daughters, Susan (Thorsten Kaye) and Carolyn (Shawn Hudspeth). She was known as "Mimi" to her granddaughters, McKenna and Marlowe. Marilyn graduated from Ohio State University, and was one of the first women in her class to attend their prestigious dental school. She danced the jitterbug with her brothers, Max and Bobby, and sang, "I am dreaming of a White Christmas" on TV variety shows. She was an avid tennis player, model/actress, and an antique collector. She was a long-time member/Deaconess of Kingsway Baptist Church, with whom she shared an unwavering commitment of helping those in need. She gave and received an ongoing, outpouring of love from this community.
